Glass Slipper Dress Sale

Each year, the Commission for Women convenes a committee to host the Glass Slipper Dress Drive and Sale at the Lebanon Valley Mall. The Glass Slipper Dress Sale provides formal wear which can be purchased for $10 (Limit two gowns) by students from local school districts in Lebanon County and the surrounding area. For one weekend annually, the Glass Slipper Event takes over a storefront at the Lebanon Valley Mall, brings in local seamstresses, and helps to create affordable access to students for formal events in a young person’s life. The Commission also donates prom tickets for raffle for each school district at part of the sale.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a life-changing program for 8 to 13 year old girls that promotes girl empowerment by teaching life skills through lessons and running. There are currently Girls on the Run programs serving each school district in Lebanon County. The Lebanon County Commission for Women provides annual financial support to these programs, and commission members regularly volunteer as coaches, running buddies, by providing snacks, or by cheering for the teams at their running events.
