Assistant Counselor

The primary purpose of this position is to assess and classify all legally committed inmates to LCCF while at the same time recommending a plan of treatment for the inmate. Provides a wide range of counseling services to the inmate population. Consults with the Warden and other administrative personnel in the development and initiation of any new policies or procedures that may be deemed necessary for the successful completion of the mission of correction/rehabilitation of the inmate population. Recommends placement of inmates into population based upon classification and inmate needs. Assists inmates in securing bail and legal assistance through phone and written communications as designated in the inmate handbook.
